Drug and Alcohol Information Line (operated by Addiction Research Foundation), has more than 35 taped messages in English and French. Selected messages are available in Cantonese, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin, Polish, Punjabi, Portuguese, Spanish and Urdu. With a touch tone phone, individuals can use the service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As well, every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (except holidays) trained staff are on hand to serve people without touch tone service, and to provide information and referrals to anyone who needs them.
